Sonic Racing Crossworlds Adds Numerous SEGA Icons to The Roster

Sonic Racing Crossworlds is the next racing game to be developed by SEGA. Last Saturday, SEGA revealed a new gameplay trailer that features the release date of the game and also what other iconic SEGA characters will be present in the release.

The multiverse is collapsing, bringing together various dimensions of Sonic’s world — from Classic Sonic and Sonic Boom to even crossover worlds like NiGHTS, Jet Set Radio, or Super Monkey Ball. Dr. Eggman’s meddling has created interdimensional rifts, and now heroes and villains must race across the shattered timelines to restore order.

On the trailer shown during the Summer GameFest event, the game will feature not only iconic Sonic characters such as Sonic the Hedgehog, Shadow the Hedgehog, and more, but also classic SEGA characters like Jet Radio, Super Monkey Ball, and more. In the latest trailer, SEGA revealed that these characters have been confirmed and they will join the roster upon launch. They are the following:

    • Joker From Persona 5 Royal
    • Hatsune Miku From Vocaloid
    • Kasuga Ichiban from Like A Dragon

These characters will be making their appearance, and SEGA has confirmed that there will be more coming in soon. At the end of the trailer, another character has been confirmed to join the roster and it is Steve from Minecraft.

Sonic Racing: Crossworlds will launch on September 25, 2025, for the Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC Via Steam. Pre-order the game and get the Digital Deluxe edition to get these awesome contents:

    • Sonic Racing Crossworlds Full Game
    • Season Pass
    • Werehig Pack
    • Sonic Prime Character Pack
    • 3 Days Early Access
