The official title of the movie sequel, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, just dropped and a tease along with it.
After the successful release of the first movie based from the popular gaming franchise, Sonic the Hedgehog, a sequel was announced. They even revealed its release date, which was April 8, 2022 and the full production is already starting next month. Now, they finally inked the official title for it.
It is aptly named Sonic the Hedgehog 2 with its logo already shown on the official Twitter account of the movie. The C on Sonic has the spikes of the protagonist with Sonic the Hedgehog colored in blue. The number 2, however, has the tails with the color orange. This is of course reference to the upcoming reveal of Sonic’s sidekick, Miles “Tails” Prower. He appeared at the post-credits scene after showing the full transformation of Robotnik into what he usually looks in cartoons and games.
Sonic the Hedgehog 2 will be released on April 8, 2022.
