Sony Fires PlayStation Executive After Pedophile Claim Video Goes Online

The whole thing caught on tape.

Sony has recently fired PlayStation Network Senior Vice President of Engineering George Cacioppo after a recent video that claims he was caught in a pedophile sting.

In the video, the alleged person Cacioppo is seen wearing a PS5 T-shirt in front of his house at night. It seems he was looking for someone that he was going to meet. It was then a person approached him and when a flashlight was hone on his face, he returns to his house quickly.

According to the video description posted recently, it claims that Cacioppo is 64 years old and what happened on the video was him expecting to meet a 15-year-old for sex. They were exchanging messages on the app Grindr, which hooks up strangers. He used the app with the name Jeff.

The video was livestreamed on the amateur YouTube channel People v. Preds last Friday, December 3, 2021. Yesterday, CNet shared this video in their latest report and revealed Cacioppo has been terminated.

A Sony spokesperson shared a statement with CNet. “We are aware of the situation and the employee in question has been terminated from employment.”
