Star Wars Battlefront II Beta Info Leaked

We are just a month off from Electronic Arts and DICE’s open beta for Star Wars Battlefront II – the most awaited sequel that everyone hoped will put justice to the franchise reboot and fix the things they had with the first entry.

On Reddit, a user under the name Some_Info, shared some interesting details about the upcoming beta. While it’s clear that in post history over at Reddit, this guy has played in the closed beta and apparently got some inside info about the upcoming open beta. However, there is no word yet from EA or DICE if some of these details are true.

    1. Maps: Galactic Assault on Theed (40 players), Space Battles on Fondor (24 players), Strike on Takodana plus. 1.1 Your beloved Skirmish that will be called Arcade or something like that. Will containSolo, Split and CO-OP – up to two players.
    2. Heroes: Same ones from EA Play
    3. Platforms: PC, Xbox 1, PS4
    4. LAAT – should be the surprise vehicle you may see (it will go round and round like the U-Wing from Scariff)
    5. Size: 14-16 GB
    6. 5-9 emotes for soldiers (not sure if heroes will have emotes in beta)
    7. You will earn credit and collect cards for the troopers but the credit will be lost at the end of the beta.
    8. Graphic – a little improvement over E3.[/alert]

As expected with the beta, the file size stays at around 14-16GB (much similar to Call of Duty: WWII‘s Private Beta). More players are going to get some glance on some emotes, even sight of the popular infantry air transport roaming the skies – the LAAT. Another exciting detail is the Split-screen and Co-op feature; this option is going to definitely be on consoles, although a PC split-screen mode would be a nice add-on.

Star Wars Battlefront II is expected to launch this November 17 across all three platforms: PC, Xbox One, and PS4. The beta starts from October 6 to 9.
