New details about the Star Wars Jedi Survivor were recently revealed by Respawn Entertainment.
Star Wars Jedi Survivor Traversal Made Easy
Game Director Stig Asmussen recently shared details on the upcoming issue of Play Magazine (Issue 23, February 2023) talking about an interesting new feature for Star Wars Jedi Survivor, which was the traversal. It featured both the fast travel system and rideable creatures, each with their own purposes for exploration.
“We will feature both fast travel and rideable creatures to help players quickly get from point A to B, and back to A,” Asmussen explained in the article, “the fast-travel is point to point, and the rideable creatures offer a way to quickly negotiate between points and explore what is in between.”
Previous Game Was Tiring to Explore
In Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order, players did not have the freedom to explore all various planets and the only ones that they could visit were the ones they had visited once. After completing the game, however, players were able to explore each planet and find all of the collectibles on foot. This was a pain to do and a bit of a hassle for those who do not have the patience.
In the next entry of Star Wars Jedi, it will be easier with the new traversal features.
Mounts will make Cal’s exploration a lot easier and cover a lot of ground on each planet. If they want to go to another planet, it will be faster now with fast travel without long loading times due to the new-gen console features. Though it is not mentioned, but it seems there is no need to go back to the ship anymore compared to the original game as they can just open the map and possibly the galaxy map anywhere on a planet they are on and just travels right away to the next one.
Star Wars Jedi Survivor was announced to have been delayed for a few weeks. Instead of the original March release date, it was moved to April. It will now launch on April 28, 2023 on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
