Starfield Patch Update 1.7.36 Introduces Highly-Requested Feature

This latest Starfield patch update adds one of the most requested features that was absent from the game's initial launch in September 2023.

Bethesda just dropped a new Starfield patch update that adds one of the most requested features lacking from its release on September 6, 2023.

The latest Starfield patch update 1.7.36 highlights the latest addition of a Field of View slider, or some may know it as FOV, across all platforms for first-person and third-person view. Some players were disappointed with the absence of an FOV slider when Starfield launched on PC and Xbox Series X|S, at least players won’t have to rely on external mods to get this feature.

In addition to the FOV slider, the patch notes stated “various additional stability and performance improvements” and improved stability exclusively for Intel Arc graphics cards. Furthermore, this patch update addresses an issue with the “Echoes of the Past” mission, where tunneling creatures could choose an area that would prevent players from finishing the quest.

Here’s the full Starfield patch update 1.7.36:

  • FOV: Sliders are now available in Settings that allow players using first person or third person to adjust their FOV.

  • [PC ONLY] Improved stability for Intel Arc GPUs.
  • Various additional stability and performance improvements.

  • Echoes of the Past: Addressed an issue where tunneling creatures could pick a location that would prevent progression.

In our Starfield review, Kimberly cites that the game is “a stellar addition to Bethesda’s RPG legacy”, giving the game a might 10/10 score.

Starfield is now available on PC and Xbox Series X|S, as well as on Game Pass. If you’re looking for Starfield guides, we have you covered.
