Festivals are special events in Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life that are held every year. During these festivals, the villagers of the Forgotten Valley gather around and celebrate occasions with different themes. Read ahead as we talk about the Festivals, the dates they are held, and how to prepare for them in Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life.
There are four festivals that are held within the Forgotten Valley every year:
- New Year’s Festival
- Fireworks Festival
- Harvest Banquet
- Starlight Concert
Each festival are held on a set date every year and have different activities that players can participate into.
New Year’s Festival
The New Year’s Festival is always held during Spring 1 of every year, starting in Year 2. On the day of this event, Sebastian will visit your house and invite you to come over to the Villa where Romana is hosting the event. You will also be asked to bring a dish over to the festival to share with everyone.
Head over to the Villa between 10:00AM and 5:00PM to join in the festival. You will then be greeted by Sebastian, who will ask if you have brought a dish. Say yes, and you will be able to select a dish from your inventory. The event will then proceed with cutscenes of Lumina playing the piano, followed by Romana trying out the dish that you brought. Not much will change with this event throughout the years other than the aging villagers.
Once the event ends, you will gain control of your character once more outside of the Villa, and the time will have passed 2 hours since you joined the event.
Fireworks Festival
The Fireworks Festival is always held during Summer 2 of every year. It happens at night between 6:00PM and 11:00PM at the Beach, but if you happen to forget about it and just head home, Cole and Charlie will visit you and invite you to the event. In your first year, you will also be asked to invite anyone in the village; it’s a good opportunity to boost your relationship with the bachelor or bachelorette that you’re going for, so go ahead and invite them.
From Year 2 onwards, you can then join the event with your chosen spouse and eventually your growing child.
Harvest Banquet
The Harvest Banquet is always held during Fall 5 of every year. On the morning of the event, you will be visited by Vesta to invite you to the banquet. She will also ask to bring any crops that you can to mix into the potluck. In case you don’t have any crops, you can also hand over any animal produce or a fruit instead.
Head over to the Lei-Over Inn between 10:00AM and 5:00PM and you will be greeted by Lou. You can then show her the ingredient that you will be mixing in for the potluck. Once the event starts, you can then put your ingredient into the pot to cook. Everyone else, including Van, will have their own portion of the dish. Van will also comment on the food depending on the quality of ingredient that you brought in.
Starlight Concert
The Starlight Concert is always held during Winter 5 of every year. On the morning of the event, Garrett will invite you to Gustafa’s Yurt to listen to his music while waiting for the meteor shower.
Head over to Gustafa’s Yurt between 6:00PM and 11:00PM to join the event. On your first year of joining, you can invite someone from the marriage candidates to join you at the venue; take this opportunity to improve your relationship with your chosen candidate. From Year 2 onward, you will be joining the concert with your family.
After Gustafa’s piece, everyone will then gaze at the night sky as the meteor shower begins. During this time, your chosen partner/spouse will tell you to make a wish. The choices will differ depending on your current year.
For Year 1, the choices are:
- “I wish I was rich!”
- “I want [chosen partner] and I to grow closer.”
- “I hope to get along with everyone in the valley.”
For Year 2 and onwards, the choices are:
- “I wish I was rich!”
- “I want my family to grow closer together.”
- “I hope to get along with everyone in the valley.”
- “I’d love for my child to take an interest in [chosen child interest].”
The wishes that you make will come true the following day. If you choose to get rich, you will receive a small amount of Gold that you will find in your pocket. If you choose to grow closer with your chosen partner, family, or get along with everyone in the valley, their respective affection (chosen partner) or friendship meter (family, villagers) will be increased. If you wish for your child’s interest, you will also see an increase in that particular interest.
