Starting the Beyond the Dawn Expansion
When starting a new game for the Beyond the Dawn expansion, it’s best to note that the expansion can be considered a standalone game since it can be played even without playing the main game itself, and the playable characters will be at a set level of 65, regardless if they were below or above that level in the main save file.

The Lord’s Daughter – Introduction
The story starts by recalling the final events of the first game, where Dahna and Rena merged into a single planet, with both of its inhabitants still struggling to live harmoniously with one another.
The scene then changes to a girl being chased by Dahnan men. She uses her ability to disappear and successfully shakes off her pursuers.
We then see the protagonists, Alphen and Shionne, walking along Adan Lake in search of a mausoleum. They are then approached by the same men who were chasing after the girl, whom they reveal is a Renan and the daughter of a lord. After realizing that they’re in the face of the Blazing Sword, the men insist on Alphen helping them find the kid, but Alphen refuses and scares off the men.
Search for the lord’s daughter
Next, you’ll gain control of Alphen. The first marker will be just off in the distance, but you can take some time to explore the area for some basic loot.
Once you arrive at the marker, you’ll see that the girl is being surrounded by monsters. Alphen and Shionne intervene to save the girl which initiates a fight.
In this fight, you’ll learn about basic combat control; the combat will be the same in the main game, so you can simply skip this part if you are already familiar with it and jump straight into the fight.
After the fight, the two then talk to the girl, who is hesitant to talk to them at first but then opens up after she sees Alphen. They later find out that the girl’s name is Nazamil, and she has been kicked out of Niez. The two then convince the girl to help her out as they set their journey back to Niez.
Head to Niez
Take this time to check on your party, especially if you have taken the bonuses, which give you some SP to spend on your skills.
Head up north to Aqfotle Hills, then turn left to reach Niez.
As you arrive in Niez, you’re met up with your previous allies, Law, Rinwell, Kisara, and Dohalim. They update you on the rising tension between the Dahnans and the Renans. They also meet Nazamil and are shocked to know that she’s a lord’s daughter. Everyone then agrees to bring her to where the Renans take shelter.
Take Nazamil to the Renan residential quarter
Now that you have everyone back, you can take the time to manage your party and set their roles. As mentioned before, everyone’s level will be set at level 65, plus all of their gear will be reset.
Follow the next marker to reach Renans’ residential quarter to start another cutscene. Some Renans recognize Nazamil, who then shuns her for also being the daughter of a Dahnan. The party then decides to bring Nazamil to Baephon instead.
Find Baephon
As you make your way to the next marker, a Dark Wings member meets up with you. You’ll then get a brief rundown of what is going to be the plot or Alphen and Shionne’s mission for this game, which is to clear out the mausoleums that are preventing the complete merge of the twin worlds. The member then points out that Baephon is in the Dahnan residential quarter.
Baephon is glad that Nazamil is with the party, but the conflict with the Dahnans and Renans could still get complicated if Nazamil stays in Baephon’s care. The party then decides to bring Nazamil with them as they explore and clear out the mausoleums.
Baephon also shares the location of the mausoleum, which is deep within Adan Lake.
