Tekken 8 Possibly Launching in 2023

Kazuya will be seeing you next year, maybe?

Bandai Namco Entertainment’s latest earnings call revealed that Tekken 8 could be launching in 2023.

In the earnings call via Insider Gaming, one of the investors asked the game publisher if it had any games launching next year that would provide a new experience value like Elden Ring. A representative stated that they are “planning a large number of projects. Tekken 8 is also under development with the aim of launching in fiscal 2023 or later.”

So if we follow this statement, then Tekken 8 will most likely launch sometime after March 31, 2023. It could be within the year or later, depending on the development. Bandai Namco has not made any statements to share details on it so there we are in the dark on this.

Here is the problem in predicting the launch of a Tekken game: there is no specific trend to latch onto. Tekken 7 first launched in the month of June while Tekken 6 launched in October, so there is no pattern unlike popular annual triple A game series like Call of Duty.

Just like what the ending scene showed when the company announced Tekken 8, “Stay Tuned.”
