Striking Distance Studios has assured players that more patches for The Callisto Protocol are coming soon.

Tons of patches have been released just recently this weekend due to the numerous issues on the PC version of The Callisto Protocol. Issues include gameplay stuttering, frame rate drops, and worst of all, crashes. In one post, CEO Glen Schofield revealed that the team mistakenly patched the wrong files hence the stuttering.

Last Saturday, a new patch was released on PC to improve gameplay stuttering issues due to shader compilation. They did warn that after updating, the game would still stutter but it will be only for a few moments as the files compile after launching. The developers promised there will be more improvisations in the future.

By Sunday, patches went live on all consoles. These fixed frame rates and crash issues that many players reported in the past weeks. The devs promised that they are working hard on making updates and will share more details on the coming weeks.

Schofield promised that they will be keeping in touch and update everyone when the patches are coming. “We want you to play the game as intended,” he said.

The Callisto Protocol is out now PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.

Thanks for your patience. A PC patch is now available to improve gameplay stuttering issues due to shader compilation. After updating, you may see temporary stuttering in the game menu the first time you launch the app. We are working on further optimizations in the days ahead.
