The US Law Firm who was responsible for filing a class action lawsuit against Nintendo for Joy-Con drift is already investigating a similar case and this time it is for the PlayStation 5 DualSense controller drift issue.
Chimicles Schwartz Kriner & Donaldson-Smith LLP has already begun its move according to reports. It has set up pa questionnaire page and asking players who have the PS5 and the DualSense controllers to report any instances of drift issues. Drift issue is where the joystick of a controller would register even though it was not touched at all. It gives this “ghost” movement.
Here’s the introduction on the questionnaire:
CSK&D is investigating a potential class action based upon reports that Sony PS5 DualSense controllers for the PlayStation 5 console can experience drift issues and/or fail prematurely. Specifically, it is reported that the joystick on certain PS5 DualSense controllers will automatically register movement when the joystick is not being controlled and interfere with gameplay.
There have been reports here and there about the DualSense controller having drift issues lately and this might have reached this US Law Firm. The issue is similar to what happened to the Nintendo Joy-Cons of the Switch console.
