Vampire Survivors to Introduce Four-Player Couch Co-Op Soon

Play together with friends offline! And maybe online in some other way!

Poncle has recently announced that the popular bullet hell survival RPG Vampire Survivors will be getting a new feature in a couple of months.

Vampire Survivors blew up last year due to its interesting feature: the players become the bullet hell itself. At first, players will just try to survive the onslaught of enemies trying to kill them. Their numbers increase while the players gain more and more power ups along the way, which eventually with the right combination, become the bullet hell monster. That is until the nearly-unkillable Death arrives. It has always been fun playing solo since it is a great way to pass the time, but what about playing with friends?

Vampire Survivors to Introduce Couch Co-Op

On August 17, 2023, Vampire Survivors new free update will introduce a four-player couch co-op mode. Up to four players will be able to play together in one setting. The host who has all of the updates and DLCs will allow their other players to enjoy the content.

The developer has also noted that it is possible to switch seamlessly from single to co-op play and back between stages. Achievements will be unlockable too when playing with friends, which is really convenient.

More Details of FAQ Page

Aside from these, new details were revealed on the official FAQ page of the game. One unfortunate or fortunate detail, depending on the player, is the appearance of the players on the screen. They will only be seen on the same screen so there is no split-screen support. There will be a shared level up bar so players will be able to level up together. For those who want to have fun with their teammates, they can “sabotage” them and there are a few features to do that.

Online Co-Op is NOT Officially Supported But…

Online co-op is not officially supported, but there is a loophole. Players can still play together online on PC via the feature Steam Remote Play Together.

Vampire Survivors is now available on PC, mobile, and Xbox consoles. The Nintendo Switch version will be released together with the new update on August 17, 2023.
