Emem is one of the three major characters in the game. She comes from the Clan of the Rose, a big vampire faction in Boston. The developers describe her as an artist, flamboyant, radiant, and also a former jazz diva.
In the game, Emem owns cabaret clubs and very popular in Boston. She became a vampire after falling in love with a Toreador vampire named Hilda. To keep their relationship for all eternity, she requested the Embrace, a ritual that turns humans into vampires in the world of Vampire the Masquerade.
The clubs Emem own are now places where vampires from different clans and major families can gather and “tolerate” each other. They are now neutral zones where almost no violence happens.
Emem is planning to expand her cabaret network, which is the reason for her to turn to the Prince. The Prince, on the other hand, has other agendas in mind and is trying to use Emem.
This particular vampire likes to make herself look beautiful. She loves to be on show in her red silk dress and gold sequins. She would wear outfits that would surprise anyone who visits her clubs.
Contrary to the other vampires, Emem’s good asset is being a good negotiator. She would heavily rely on her vampiric Discipline power called Presence. It is unique to the Toreadors, which allows them to use their social aura to influence those who they are talking to. She can also upgrade human skills that will be helpful to her like Persuasion, Etiquette, and Psychology.
Vampire The Masquerade Swansong launches on May 19, 2022. It will be available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. It will be released on Nintendo Switch at a later time.
