Wallets Will Be Emptied this May 2016’s Releases

Oh yes, May 2016 is nearing and it’s only a few weeks left. Cash burns in the upcoming month as most highly-anticipated games are going to come out. Good thing these games don’t come out on the same day. All of us could have already gotten a taste of Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End this month but it was moved by Naughty Dog to make some final improvements on the game before going on Gold status.

Aside from Naughty Dog’s Uncharted game coming out on May, we have a handful of games in the list that you might want to check if you are not yet updated on their release dates.

Here are the most-anticipated games that will release next month!

BATTLEBORN (May 3, 2016) – PS4, Xbox One, PC
2K Games

Battleborn

It’s your first-person shooter with elements of MOBA. It’s your other version of Overwatch but in MOBA-style. Battleborn’s Open Beta is already ongoing for the PS4 while the PC and Xbox One Open Beta will be available this April 14, 2016!

UNCHARTED 4: A Thief’s End (May 10, 2016) – PS4
Naughty Dog

uncharted

It’s the sequel of Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception and the final installment of the franchise. The Last of Us developer has already gone “gold” for Uncharted 4. Are you waiting for this final chapter that closes the series? Will this be Nate’s last adventure? We’ll see!

DOOM (May 13, 2016) – PS4, PC, Xbox One
Bethesda

Doom2016Cover

Previously known as DOOM 4, id Software decided to make their recent installment as a reboot of the franchise. The success of the first DOOM game as a first-person shooter pioneered the whole genre. Are you ready to take the fight in Hell again? Open Beta starts on April 15 to April 17.

Homefront: The Revolution (May 17, 2016) – PS4, PC, Xbox One
Deep Silver

homefront revolution

The sequel of the first Homefront, this open-world first-person shooter similar to Far Cry is another shooter that we might want to look into.

MIRROR’S EDGE: CATALYST (May 24, 2016) – PS4, PC, Xbox One
Electronic Arts

Faith punching some guy in the face. Poor guy

After 8 years, DICE finally made a sequel of the popular parkour action-adventure first-person shooter MIRROR’S EDGE. This time, DICE is taking the game into a whole new gameplay that involves what we call “open-world”. We can expect CATALYST will offer more than its predecessor. We just hope that the game is good. It’s EA… EA.

OVERWATCH (May 24, 2016) – PS4, PC, Xbox One
Blizzard Entertainment

Tracer_Overwatch

Are you going to get the game because of Tracer’s butt? I wouldn’t be surprised though but yes, OVERWATCH shows a lot of potential as a competitive first-person shooter. This can be another potential candidate for an eSports game, who knows? From being a free-to-play title when it was announced to a full-priced game, will $59.99 be worth it? It’s Blizzard, we all know it’s going to be worth it. There’s no Blizzard game that disappointed us… yet.

Well those are all the big games we know that will come out next month. Are you prepared with your budget for all these games? I know some of us won’t and we have to pick really carefully in buying any of these games.

There are other games that will come out next month like Dead Island: Definitive Edition, Sherlock Homes: The Devil’s Daughter, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan, and Valkyria Chronicles Remastered.

Which game(s) are you planning to get next month? Let us know in the comments!

Sirus Gaming’s Editor-In-Chief: I’m personally waiting for DOOM and Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End. DOOM’s reboot caught my eye last at last year’s E3 and I have already pre-ordered the Libertalia Edition of Uncharted 4 — I just love how the story went for Uncharted 4 and would love to see how Naughty Dog will close the chapter in this final installment.
