Watch Dogs Legion Has Offline Mode; Cross-Play Introduced in Future Update

Ubisoft Game Producer Lathieeshe Thillainathan recently shared some new details in a Reddit AMA about the upcoming video game Watch Dogs: Legion.

The game producer revealed that the upcoming video game will not have a requirement of constant internet connection and will even offer an offline mode. This would make it easier to play especially for those who do not have steady internet connection in their countries.

Here’s his statement in regards to offline mode:

You can play single-player offline, but you won’t be able to see all the community photos or take in-game pictures and share them out.

Aside from an offline mode, the game producer also revealed that there will be cross-play support between all platforms in the future. This will be introduced in a post-launch update. There will be cross-progression across all platforms at launch, but the cross-play feature is coming in Year 1. No specific date on that yet unfortunately.

Watch Dogs: Legion is coming on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on October 29. PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S versions will be available when the consoles come out.
