We Are OFK Release Date
The upcoming pop music narrative game will be released on August 18, 2022. It will be an episodic release with the first two episodes will launch on the date mentioned before, followed by episode three on August 25, 2022, episode four on September 1, 2022, and the final episode five will be on September 8, 2022.
The announcement was revealed at the Nintendo’s Indie World Showcase. It will be available on Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store.
Inclusions for Each Episode
Each episode will have a single from the band and an interactive music video to enjoy. For those who want to enjoy those tracks separately, it will be available on vinyl via iam8bit. It will include art prints and acoustic versions as well.
Expectations
The story about the game will follow the creation of the band called OFK and promises to have emotional texting, thirst texting, meme texting, and emoji spamming. The story will be full of LGBT+ representation.
“We made our biopic as a game, because we feel close to this band, our band, and we want you to, too,” said Creative Director Teddy Dief. “You’ll decide things they say, what texts they send, how they express themselves as they go through their smaller journey of trying to make something they can be proud of. I know we’re proud of this game / band / episodic series… the whole thing!”
