Cyberpunk 2077 is coming this September. With the game having just recently been submitted for age ratings, CD Projekt Red are working on polishing the game as much as they can before the release. We can safely assume that the game is now finished. But have you asked yourself what they’ll do next after Cyberpunk 2077 releases?
Well, we’re sure that they’ll be working on some upcoming DLCs as well as the multiplayer said to be coming out much later after Cyberpunk 2077. But what’s interesting, is that the developers might be going back to the Witcher universe after this.
During a company meeting, president of CDPR, Adam Kiciński , was asked what they planned to do after they were finished with Cyberpunk 2077. He responded by saying that they have already started to work on an unannounced single player game and that CDPR has “two worlds” he then goes on to clarify about this.
Within these worlds we want to create games, therefore all the games planned so far are either Witcher or Cyberpunk
However, don’t expect anything too grand in size. CDPR’s main developing team might not be handling the project. Instead, could be delegated to a smaller team within the organization.
