Xbox Chief Phil Spencer has recently paid tribute to PlayStation Boss Jim Ryan after he announced his retirement.

Spencer recently shared a touching tribute to the PlayStation Chief as he departs the company next year. He posted it on his official Twitter account.

Jim Ryan has been a great contributor to our industry and a fierce leader for PlayStation. I wish him the best in what he does next. Thank you for all you’ve done for the community over the last 30 years, Jim.

“Jim Ryan has been a great contributor to our industry and a fierce leader for PlayStation. I wish him the best in what he does next,” Spencer wrote. “Thank you for all you’ve done for the community over the last 30 years, Jim.”

Yesterday, Sony and later Ryan announced that he was retiring from the company after almost three decades in the industry. He will step down from his role as Sony Interactive Entertainment CEO and President in March 2024.

Sony Group Corporation President, COO, and CFO Hiroki Totoki will serve as the interim CEO after Ryan departs from the company.
