In a newly released trailer titled Bring the Boom, Arrowhead Studios appears to be teasing a potential collaboration between Helldivers 2 and the Halo 3: ODST franchise. The tease arrives as the popular cooperative shooter prepares for its launch on Xbox Series X|S at the end of the month.
The trailer, uploaded to both the PlayStation and Xbox YouTube channels, features a drop pod landing at night in an urban environment. This imagery is noted for its strong resemblance to the aesthetic of the 2009 Xbox 360 title. The teaser’s most significant detail, however, is the use of the iconic Halo 3: ODST theme song playing over the footage, providing a strong indication of a potential crossover.
This would not be the first time Helldivers 2 has incorporated content from other franchises. The game has previously featured gear themed around the Killzone series. It’s exciting to see a dream come to life — a Halo 3: ODST collab in Helldivers 2!
Helldivers 2 is now available on PS5 and PC, and is coming to Xbox Series X|S on August 26!
