Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom First Patch Finally Fixes Game-Breaking Bug

Patch version 1.1.1 finally fixes one of the bugs that prevents progression in a main quest.

Nintendo has recently released the first The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom post-launch patch fixing its most problematic bug.

Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom’s first post-launch patch, version 1.1.1, comes with fixes for various issues that appeared after launch. This fixed the bug that prevented players to complete the main quest “The Closed Door”.

The other fixes were not detailed, unfortunately. The patch notes only said that it tackled several other “unspecified issues”. Check out the full patch notes below:

General Updates

  • Fixed issue where, sometimes, the player could not clear main quest “The Closed Door,” even if they fulfilled the conditions to advance the quest.
    • If you have already encountered this issue, you will be able to clear the quest by downloading this update data.
  • Several issues have been addressed to improve the gameplay experience.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is out now exclusively on Nintendo Switch.
