No Multi-GPU Support: Batman Arkham Knight

With the recent events that happened with the final installment of Rockteady Studios’ Batman Arkham series, the Arkham Knight, performance issues; it has been announced by one of the Warner Bros. Games representative, wb.elder.pliny, that they have tried their best to work with GPU manufacturers to optimize the game with Nvidia’s SLI and AMD’s CrossfireX:

“We’ve been working with our development and graphics driver partners over the last few months to investigate utilizing multi-GPU support within Batman: Arkham Knight. The result was that even the best case estimates for performance improvements turned out to be relatively small given the high risk of creating new issues for all players. As a result we’ve had to make the difficult decision to stop work on further multi-GPU support. We are disappointed that this was not practical and apologize to those who have been waiting for this feature.”

PC gamers have always been looking forward on multi-GPU supports in all games as it does give out performance boosts. But it’s also good to point out that multi-GPU setups don’t have stable performance for the past few years. It’s kind of bit disappointing that this feature is not going to be in Batman: Arkham Knight for the PC. If you’re not happy with this recent update, Warner Bros. Games already mentioned that they are doing refunds for those who bough the game on Steam, but for those who bought it from local retailers then this is not 100% possible.

Looks like this is how the Batman died…
