Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare Collision Mechanic Upsets Fans

A new feature added in a recent update for popular FPS video game Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has upset the fans.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare collision mechanic

The recent update has made some fans of the video game upset since it introduced the new collision mechanic. It allows teammates to push one another. This should be a good thing since sometimes teammates can unintentionally or intentionally back players into a corner, rendering them trapped throughout the round. This new mechanic though has now led to more problems instead. It caused teammates to get each other killed during a match.

A video (which is shown here) shows a player pushing a teammate into an enemy claymore, causing it premature death. It also causes a lot of other issues like missing shots after being pushed, to unintended deaths as players are being pushed around corners, off ledges, or into enemy fire.

In a recent Reddit thread, the community has discussed the reasons why this new mechanic should be fixed. One member recealled the way collision worked in Infinite Warfare, which allowed players to walk through their teammates instead. This should be implemented to avoid griefing.

No official statement coming from team Infinity Ward, but they should be well aware of the issue right about now. They might need time to analyze the problem and determine the best solution for this issue.

The full game is already available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
