Game studio CD Projekt RED will be doing the opposite of what other studios have announced during the COVID-19 pandemic. The president has assured upcoming video game Cyberpunk 2077 will still launch on promised date.

Cyberpunk 2077 release date unchanged

Game company president Adam Kicinski stated that the release date of the upcoming video game is still Sept. 17, even if their studio has been affected by the pandemic. He revealed that the staff members have already started working from home starting mid-march, while still ensuring the continuity of their operations for the game.

The game studio is confident that it can finish the game on time and have the needed tools already prepared for their success. Kicinski said that they have a belief that avoiding debt and accumulating cash reserves make them well prepared to meet any hardship that they might encounter in the future. In this time, it is the coronavirus crisis.

The upcoming title will launch on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Google Stadia. It was also revealed that an upgraded version of the game will be available for the Xbox Series X.
