Assassins Creed Valhalla, the next installment of the popular franchise, has finally been revealed a few days ago first with a long teaser video then its premiere trailer on the next day. It will be set in the dark middle ages of England where Vikings will be the theme and the purpose is to build a new settlement in the new lands.
With those revealed, several new details were slowly being unveiled in the next day and a few of them quite of note.
Assassins Creed Valhalla will be Epic Games exclusive
In a recent post, the official Twitter account of Epic Games Store revealed the upcoming game’s cinematic world premiere trailer link there. This just means that AC Valhalla will be an Epic Games Store exclusive for PC. This is not a surprise anymore because game company Ubisoft and Epic recently announced a publishing deal last year during the Game Developer’s conference. One prime example of a game now on Epic Games Store is The Division 2. As for how long it will be exclusive on the platform, no specifics were announced as of yet so this is going to take a while. You can check the different editions that can be pre-ordered here.
Xbox Smart Delivery feature
In related news, Xbox got the initiative to reveal that the game will support Smart Delivery for players who own an Xbox platform. This meant that players only need to purchase the game for one platform like the Xbox One and if they have the next generation console system Xbox Series X, they can just download it there and play it without any extra charge. It also goes both ways. This is the same support system for another upcoming video game Cyberpunk 2077.
Sony Interactive Entertainment has not made mention of this yet, but the company has done this type of support in the past via PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita cross-buy function. There is a possibility this could happen for the PS4 and PS5 as well.
Assassins Creed 2 free on UPlay again
On another note, Ubisoft has announced that Assassins Creed 2 is now free to download again on UPlay after Valhalla was announced recently. All you need to do is download the platform application and download the game from there.
Assassins Creed Valhalla will be launched sometime in holiday 2020. It will be available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC exclusively on the Epic Games Store.
