Mainland China has indefinitely suspended the digital shop PlayStation Store due to alleged security problems.
PlayStation Store China suspended temporarily
According to the industry analyst Daniel Ahmad, the Chinese PSN has been temporarily suspended last 7 AM on May 10. He revealed that it could be a long suspension because there was no time or date specified on when it will come back online. The official reason for the suspension was that there were security upgrades to be done, but Ahmad stated otherwise.
Ahmad revealed that an Xbox fanboy has claimed that they reported to authorities about back door elements that could easily access overseas services and can be switched quite easily. It was quickly taken down afterwards.
So for now, no PSN Store for Mainland China guys. If the claims were true though, given how strict China is when it comes to illegal and foreign activities, this could take a while to patch up.
