It seems game company Microsoft is teasing the fans that Age of Empires 3: Definitive Edition might be launching sooner than expected.

The official Twitter account of Age of Empires recently lit up with a new post that showed a cryptic image showing some unit cards. These are most likely the units and buildings from the game. The image has already made fans go into a flurry of speculation.

One fan even figured out the clue to this image. It was revealed that the hotkey for each unit combined spelled out the world “gamescom.” If that is some strong indication of something big is happening soon, then it is probably the release of this awesome classic in definitive form.

The upcoming event will be full digital and Geoff Keighley will be hosting it.
