Game developer Illfonic recently announced that the new October free update and paid downloadable content is now available for video game Predator: Hunting Grounds.
The newest free October update is now available for download and Illfonic also threw in something that is new to the franchise: a new class of Predator based from Norse lore. This new paid DLC will include a new class and weapon to try out.
Of course, the newest Predator class is called the Viking. He can be traced back to when the Viking raiders consumed lands far from their own borders and then they gained the attention of the Predators at that time. They were given a gift from the sky to challenge the most powerful and honorable warriors in battle. They were called the Yautja at that time and the Vikings would go out their way to make them notice their prowess by raiding more towns. They would then join ritual combat in the hopes of feasting in the halls of Valhalla.
The Viking Predator is overwhelmingly strong and even stronger than the Berserker, but he is slower than all Predator classes. Aside from the Viking class, there is also the Battle Axe as part of the paid DLC.
The update has also added 16 new bonus perks to choose from aside from the current loadout. Here are the sample bonus perks:
- Assault – Deadly – 15% increase to assault rifles
- Support – Field Medic – 30% increased revive speed, and revived soldiers always revive with 80% HP.
- Scout – Liberator – Heal 50HP and gain a 20% damage boost after disabling a camp alarm for seven seconds
- Recon – Sniper – 15% damage increase to spotted targets
The update has also balanced the game’s weapons like grenades are 400 times more potent in Clash, while the shotgun and the grenade launcher have gotten significant damage increase.
