PlayStation 5 Firmware Update 20.02-02.26.00 Out Now

Another PlayStation 5 firmware update has been released today by game company Sony Interactive Entertainment.

DualSense Controller

The newest update, version 20.02-02.26.00, is out now and ready to download when PS5 owners boot up their system. As usual, the patch notes do not say much but the official website says a bit more of what has changed.

Version 20.02-02.26.00

  • This system software update improves system performance.
  • An issue where installed disc versions of games were sometimes deleted was resolved.
  • An issue that prevented the PS5 wireless controller from being charged while in rest mode when connected to the PS5’s front side USB Type-A port using the USB cable included with some PS5 consoles was resolved.

Aside from improving system performance, the new update has fixed a couple of issues that many PS5 owners experienced before the implementation. One of the common ones was the DualSense controller not charging while the console system was on rest mode. It has now been fixed and can now charge properly.

PlayStation 5 is now available worldwide.
