Bandai Namco To Initiate Restructure in April 2021

Game company Bandai Namco Entertainment recently announced that it will go through a major restructuring soon.

In a recent financial report, the game company will be starting its major restructuring on April 1, 2021. This will include the merging of its gaming business with the toy and hobby business units. This will then turn towards the “three unit system.”

A part of the gaming business unit, the Network Entertainment unit will be a part of the merge. After the restructuring process is completed, it will now be called the Entertainment Unit. The report stated that this merge is happening since the game company wants to aim for a new strategic direction. By integrating these units together, it can continue to create products that reflect the values of its consumers.

Aside from that announcement, it was revealed that Masaru Kawaguchi will be appointed as the president of the company. He was previously the vice president.
