Game company Sony Interactive Entertainment has recently announced that a new PlayStation VR system will be coming to PlayStation 5.

Senior Vice President, Platform Planning & Management Hideaki Nishino announced that there will be a next-generation VR system that will be coming to the new-gen PS5 console. This will enable the ultimate entertainment experience for players who want to enjoy VR gaming with the PS5.

The next-gen PS VR will offer a greater sense of presence and become even more immersive for players. It has been improved even further with better performance and interactivity. It will have enhanced resolution and field of view, tracking, and input. It will only have a single cord that will be connected to the PS5 to simplify the setup and improve ease-of-use, while enabling a high-fidelity visual experience.

There is also a new VR controller, which will have the key features found in the DualSense wireless controller with its focus on great ergonomics.

A lot of development is still underway for this new VR system, which is why it will not launch within this year. The team only wanted to reveal an update to the fans.

The new PlayStation VR is coming to the PS5.
