Game publisher Paradox Interactive has recently announced in a new year end report that upcoming video game Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 has been delayed.
The game publisher has decided to delay the game further and will not be released in 2021 as previously announced. Due to the global pandemic, its studio organization has found it difficult to maintain the usual production pace. They are saying it has been hard to make progress with the work-from-home situation.
Aside from that, the studio behind the initial development, Hardsuit Labs, has been removed from the project. This time around, they have started a collaboration with a new studio partner to finish work on the game.
Paradox Interactive confessed that it was a difficult decision to make, but they are convinced that this was the right thing to do in order to move forward and to give the game justice.
Another decision the game publisher had to make was to stop accepting pre-orders for the time being. This was relayed in a new blog post on the official website of the game. Some gamers have already cancelled their pre-orders and are advising others to do the same.
Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 will be available on PC, PlayStation 4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. No specific release window has been revealed.
