Several reports recently said that Xbox Live will be changing its name and it was seen across the beta versions of the Xbox Dashboard. The new name, Xbox Network has now been confirmed by game company Microsoft.
In a statement given to media outlet Game Informer, Xbox Live has now been renamed. Check out what Microsoft shared to them below:
Xbox network refers to the underlying Xbox online service, which was updated in the Microsoft Services Agreement. The update from ‘Xbox Live’ to ‘Xbox network’ is intended to distinguish the underlying service from Xbox Live Gold memberships.
So far, no other changes were added to this. It seems it was only the name that changed, but its contents like services and the like still remained the same.
