Resident Evil Village Optional Difficulty Mode Supposedly Randomizes Enemy and Item Placement

A new leak revealed that upcoming video game sequel Resident Evil Village will have unlockable optional difficulty mode that offers an exciting experience for fans.

    Resident Evil Village

According to gaming industry insider Dusk Golem on his personal Twitter account, players who have completed the main campaign of RE Village will be able to unlock a new optional difficulty level. This will make the next playthrough experience new and fun to play again due to its factors added.

(1/2) I'm curious if they're going to talk about this before release, and *UNLOCKABLE SPOILERS* for anyone avoiding all spoilers, but no story spoilers here, just an extra mode, BUT…

I've known for a while they toyed with making an "Ethan Must Die 2.0" for village, & turned it https://t.co/3BuldpeKnN

Dusk Golem calls this new mode “Ethan Must Die 2.0” because this new difficulty mode will be harder than ever. Enemy and item placements will be randomized, which will make your first encounter not reliable at all. You will experience a whole new playthrough with no way to know if your first enemy encounter will be the toughest one or the items you remembered will not be there at all.

Again, take this with a grain of salt for now since game company CAPCOM has not officially confirmed these leaks yet. This is still within the realm of possibility since this seems to be a good replayability feature if implemented for those who want a different experience after completing the game once.

Resident Evil Village will launch on May 7 for PlayStation 4, PC, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. There is also a new RE Showcase coming this month.
