Game company Microsoft has recently shared its latest financial results and has revealed that the Xbox hardware profits have gotten up quite high in percentage.

Microsoft has revealed that the gaming division revenue has gotten up to 50 percent year-on-year, which has earned them $3.53 billion over the past 12 months. The majority of those profits come from the Xbox hardware, which is up 232 percent. This mostly come from the release of the new-gen consoles Xbox Series X/S.

The game company did not give the actual sales figures though for the hardware.

Xbox content and services revenue also went up, which is 34 percent. This means that the leadership behind Microsoft is actually making things work for the Xbox brand and they are benefitting from it. They are noting that this growth comes from the “strength from third-party titles, Xbox Game Pass subscriptions, and first-party titles.”

Microsoft notes that Minecraft has helped them a lot in gaining tons of monthly active users into their platforms. It gave them nearly 140 million monthly active users and it is up 30 percent year over year. This has become one of the leading platforms in the creator economy. The creators have made over $350 million from more than one billion downloads of mods, add-ons, and other experiences in the game and that does not even include the activity outside their own marketplace.

Flight Simulator is also gaining some popularity in the marketplace with partners now able to sell content directly within the game.

Microsoft is also happy with their ZeniMax acquisition, which was bought for $7.5 billion.

There is some bad news that they revealed. Microsoft Chief Financial Officer Amy Hood that the Xbox Series X/S demand will still be high and that will be constrained by the supply. “And on the strong prior year comparable, we expect Xbox content and services revenue to decline in the mid to high single digits,” she continued.

For the most part, Microsoft is definitely gaining a lot with a few setbacks for this year.
