A recent interview revealed that the developers behind upcoming video game Samurai Warriors 5 does not have plans for additional characters.
The developers revealed that there will be no additional downloadable characters in the future. They did mention that there will be a season pass for this game, but the contents do not contain new characters. It will introduce bonus items to power up characters and gold to enhance or purchase weapons. It will also add six new scenarios, six background music tracks, more weapons, and horses.
There could a sequel in the future if this game will do well. It will star Hideyoshi Toyotomi if it becomes successful. They are also playable characters in SW5 like Yasuke, Oichi, and others.
Samurai Warriors 5 will launch on July 27, 2021 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam.
