Game company Blizzard has recently confirmed the upcoming Diablo 2: Resurrected open beta and early access dates.
According to the game company, the early access schedule will start this coming Friday, August 13, 2021 at 10 am PT and will end after the weekend. Anyone who has pre-ordered the Diablo 2: Resurrected or Diablo Prime Evil Collection on PC, PlayStation 4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S can get the early access. Unfortunately, no early access weekend will be available for those who will be getting the Nintendo Switch version.
At a later time though, fans can look forward to the open beta that will start on Friday, August 20, at 10 am PT and will last through the weekend. Players on Xbox, PC, and PlayStation consoles can download and play the open beta on that weekend and still no access for Switch owners. The progress that will be made in the early access phase can be carried over to the open beta, but it will not be carried over to the final game.
Early access and open beta will offer the first two Acts. Players can freely level up their characters with no level cap at all. They can take on the Paladin, Druid, Amazon, Barbarian, and Sorceress classes. It will also support online multiplayer and PvP.
The feedback that players will give during early access and open beta will be the basis for the official launch of the game. If all goes well and without any issues, they might just go ahead with the announced release date.
Diablo 4 is still in development with Diablo Immortal getting delayed to 2022. Hopefully Diablo 2: Resurrected will do well in this upcoming early access and open beta. It will launch on September 23, 2021 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch.
