Game company Epic Games has announced that Ryan Reynolds’ Free Guy character “Dude” is the next new character for popular battle royale Fortnite.
In the film Free Guy, Ryan Reynolds is named Guy and he thinks he lives in an ordinary world as an ordinary person and is a bank teller. He then realizes that he is not what he thought he was. He is an NPC in an open-world game and now he is appearing in Fortnite for some reason.
Well, it is not actually Guy that will be arriving in the game, but Ryan Reynolds’ other character, “Dude”. You know, the guy with big muscles but with the head of Ryan on top. That guy. Guy though will be giving the players the newly-released Free Guy Quests via these ATM machines that are scattered across the game.
Completing the quests will reward players with the Good Guy Emote. The best part is that this emote will be fully localized in-game. The Free Guy Dude skin will be available in the Fortnite Item Shop tonight at 8 pm ET.
The Free Guy in-game quests starts August 12 and ends September 6, 2021.
Fortnite is now available on PC, Android, PlayStation 4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch.
