Kena: Bridge of Spirits Creators Have No Plans for a Direct Sequel but Other Mediums Possible

It could appear on film or a TV series.

Ember Labs Co-Founders and also brothers Mike and Josh Grier have recently shared with SoulVision Magazine in an interview about their plans for their latest game Kena: Bridge of Spirits.

The upcoming video game Kena: Bridge of Spirits is a game rich in lore and from the looks of the trailers, the gameplay is going to be awesome. It follows the story of Kena, a young spirit guide, who has left her village to use her powers to assist deceased people move on from the physical to the spirit world. It sounds like a promising game with an awesome story to tell and perhaps it might merit to have a sequel.

Josh Grier disagrees with the notion of having a sequel though. It seems they are going to hold off on making a direct continuation for this game. He says that they might do “another IP with the same style in terms of gameplay and story-driven experience.”

There is hope for those who want to continue the adventures of Kena, but not in the way they are thinking. The Grier brothers are interested in exploring the world of Kena in other creative mediums aside from video games. Josh says that the game’s universe has a lot of potential for storytelling, so it would be good to take it into a more linear experience. He thinks it would be a good TV show or a film.

If Josh thinks Kena: Bridge of Spirits has a great storytelling potential then that could mean it would be an amazing experience to learn of its story.

Kena: Bridge of Spirits launches on September 21, 2021 for PC, PlayStation 4 and PS5.
