Fatal Frame has always been known for having the stories in their games have different endings. So it would be weird for the fifth game of the series to not have different conclusions to the story. Fatal Frame: Maiden of the Black Water has a whopping total of eight possible endings.
There are four possible endings you can achieve with Ren and two each for Mui and Yuri. A good thing to note is that these endings aren’t that hard to reach since all you need to do is make the right decisions in the last mission of the last chapter of the game to achieve the different endings. It’s also important to note that the difficulty doesn’t matter for getting the different endings.

Fatal Frame: Maiden of the Black Water Ren Hojo Endings
For Ren, he has four endings that will be based on two different decisions that you can make near the end of the game. You will need to choose who will Ren have an encounter with for the finale. So let’s check out how to get these four endings.
Box of Loneliness Ending
For this ending, you need to have chosen Ose Kurosawa. You’ll need to take a picture of Ose when you enter the room.
Love After Death Ending
For this ending, you need to have chosen Ose Kurosawa. You’ll need to use Ren’s Touch ability on Ose.
A Cold Spring Ending
For this ending, you need to have chosen Shiragiku. To reach this ending then all you need to do is use your Camera Obscura on her and defeat her.
Inside the Box Ending
For this ending, you need to have chosen Shiragiku. You don’t have to do anything for this ending, just watch the scene play out.
Fatal Frame: Maiden of the Black Water Miu Hinasaki Endings
For Miu, she pursues a certain someone all the way to Twilit Peak which is a part of Mt. Hikami. Miu can detect that individual’s spirit and take photos when the individual appears.
Shadow Child Ending
To achieve this ending all you have to do is not take a photo of the spirit.
Dream Road Ending
To achieve this ending all you have to do is take a photo of spirit on Twilit Peak.
Fatal Frame: Maiden of the Black Water Yuri Kozukata Endings
For Yuri, her possible endings would depend on whether or not you defeat the final boss in the underwater stage or above the water stage. You would also need to use Yuri’s Touch ability, in the event that you take too long to use it then the boss will keep fighting you until you beat the boss again.
Embrace Ending
To achieve this ending, defeat the final boss in the underwater stage and use her Touch ability.
Bride of Black Water Ending
To achieve this ending, defeat the boss above the water and use her Touch ability.
