One of the optional objectives in SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake is to find Hot Objects for Sandy in order for her emergency machine to function. Completing it will give players 1 Golden Doubloon for Bikini Bottom, but where do you even begin looking for these collectibles? Read on for a full walkthrough.
How to Start the Hot Objects Side Quest?
After beating Admiral Prawn’s crew in the Pirate Goo Lagoon map campaign and making Krabby Patties for hungry residents. If you’ve already done this, talk to Sandy (you should see a bubble with a red flag on top of her head) in front of Squidward’s house to start the Hot Objects Side Quest.
Tips: You may quickly travel to any checkpoint on the map by using the fast travel to checkpoints feature. To do this, open your world map and select on the little clams that represent various areas throughout the map.
Finding all 5 hot objects in the game takes place in the Prehistoric Kelp Forest map. Here’s how you can collect them in order:
Hot Object #1: Stalactite Cave
Fast-travel to the Stalactite Cave checkpoint and run along the path to your right. After jumping over the second bone obstacle, quickly veer off to the left and hit the spiky rocks to collect the hot object.
Hot Object #2: Volcano Slide
Fast-travel to the Volcano Slide checkpoint and skid through the path. After passing through a large tree trunk, veer off to the left and bounce onto the trampoline. Follow on the course and you’ll eventually spot the hot object once you start swinging.
Hot Object #3: Lava Cave
Fast-travel to the Lava Cave checkpoint and follow the main path until you reach an obstacle with sinking stone slabs. Continue ahead and you’ll find the hot object floating near the lava geyser.
Hot Object #4: Lava Cave
Continue the path ahead until you use the rolling rock. Now, move straight ahead, and you’ll spot the hot object on top of the lava geyser. Place the rolling rock on top of the geyser to lift it off and collect the object.
Hot Object #5: Lava Cave
Continue along the path until you reach the second lava geyser. Do the same thing and place the rolling rock on top of the geyser to lift it off and collect the object.
