Koei Tecmo has recently announced that Atelier Marie Remake The Alchemist of Salburg is finally coming to the west.
One of the earliest Atelier entries of series, Atelier Marie was the only one that did not get a western version compared to its subsequent titles. Since it is now the 25th anniversary of the Atelier franchise, it seems Gust has decided that it is time to remake it for modern times.
According to the game’s official website, the game will be fully remade, so expect it to have a different look compared to its original version. Based on the screenshots, the characters in battle and exploration are all chibified while dialogue is in visual novel style.
Atelier Marie Remake launches on Summer 2023 for PC, PS4, PS5, and Nintendo Switch.
