Can you fast travel in Star Wars Jedi Survivor?

Players are curious if there is fast travel in Star Wars Jedi Survivor. With the game adopting a more open world mindset compared to the previous game, there’s a lot of ground to explore and there are those asking if there’s some need for backtracking especially after developers mentioned that the game was designed without fast travel in mind. Let’s clear it up whether Star Wars Jedi Survivor will have fast travel mechanics available.

Will there be fast travel in Star Wars Jedi Survivor?

Yes, Cal can fast travel to any previous locations he already discovered in Star Wars Jedi Survivor. This was confirmed by Respawn Entertainment’s Jason De Heras.

Fast travel is entirely new since Fallen Order didn’t have any fast travel mechanics. Jedi Survivor emphasizes encouraging players to explore, although it won’t restrict them to going the entire way on foot. If you want to skip past the beaten path, you’re more than free to do so.

In addition to fast travel, you can tame rideable animals and use gliders to get around faster. We imagine that you’ll most likely be using these to explore areas you haven’t been to yet. If you forgot to explore something a few ways back, you can fast travel to that location, get a mount, and start exploring for secrets and collectibles.

Rideable mounts - fast travel in Star Wars Jedi Survivor

As said at the beginning of this article, everything during the development of Star Wars: Jedi Survivor was designed by Respawn Entertainment without fast travel in mind. This means that you’ll be encouraged to try out other modes of transportation and likely have an incentive to go back to the beaten path without having to resort to its fast travel mechanics. This way, exploration will feel much more organic.

Still, if you want to, you can make good use of the Star Wars Jedi Survivor fast travel mechanics. There is side content in the game that you can take on, which will probably be spread across the environment. It could save you the trip if you’re short on time.
