Zelda Tears of the Kingdom Leaked TV Ad Shows More Footage Not Seen in Latest Trailer

Someone recently leaked an upcoming The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom TV ad, which gives fans a preview of more details not seen in the pre-launch trailer.

This new leaked TV ad was recently spotted on Reddit. This is most likely a TV spot for the upcoming sequel and is possibly planned to be aired sometime next month either before or after launch. Note that some of the gameplay seen in this short video is considered SPOILERS, so you have been warned.

The footage revealed Link using Ultrahand to build a new hovercraft, which was already seen in previous trailers, but there are more in the video. One of them shows Link using a glider to glide toward Hyrule Castle which is now suspended above the ground with tendrils that look evil. This is actually the first time where Link uses this method to approach the castle.

Another scene shows Link running between the game’s sky islands on rails not shown in previous trailers. He suddenly loses his balance here and then falls back to the mainland.

There was another scene that showed different types of Gleeok enemies in the game. The ad featured the Flame Gleeok, which confirms that there will be other variants that will be seen in the game.

Lastly, one scene shows Link exploring a cave that seems to go deeper into the ground. Zelda Breath of the Wild had some caves but they did not go deep underground, so this one is a brand new one. Link then uses his arrow to trigger a botanical light source in the distance to light up the whole area.

The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom launches on May 12, 2023 exclusively on Nintendo Switch.
