Another month, another batch of free games to be added to the PS Plus Essential lineup. PS Plus June 2023 free PS4 & PS5 games will be three in total and at least PS Plus Essential tier members will be able to redeem these freebies. So far, the titles have not been recurring so the next batch could be quite interesting. They could be new ones from early this year, or old classic ones from the early PS4 era.

Fallout 4 G.O.T.Y Edition – PS4
With Xbox’s Starfield coming out around the corner, it would be a grand idea for PlayStation to make one of Bethesda’s most beloved titles released as a free game on PS Plus, right? And the one candidate from the lineup is none other than Fallout 4. And to sweeten the pot, the company would offer the G.O.T.Y Edition which includes all of the official add-ons for the game. It would be a good time to play the whole game before the upcoming title gets released in September 2023. Hopefully.
NBA 2K22 – PS4, PS5
Let’s not be too ambitious to predict that the latest NBA 2K23 will be the next free game to join the PS Plus Essential lineup. While NBA 2K22 was already added a while ago and has since left the library, it was on the Game Catalog side. Adding it to the PS Plus Essential lineup would be a better choice to make it a permanent addition to the library as long as a member is subscribed to the service. It’s a great sports game to keep and play once in a while so this would be a good chance.
Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice – PS4
Since we are big fans of Souls-like games and Elden Ring is still too early to be added to the cards, then its predecessor would be a great addition. Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is a great game to play with lots of challenges to overcome, surprises to encounter, and fighting against giant bosses and making them crawl on the ground feels good. Also, it has been ages, please give us this game for free already!

The usual time that the official announcement happens is around 3-4 days before the end of the month, so it will be May 27, 2023 at 9:30 AM PST. Check the official PlayStation blog for the official lineup by then!
