Insomniac Games has recently confirmed that in a certain scene of the film sequel Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse new footage of the upcoming video game Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 was shown.
The gameplay footage of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 during the PlayStation Showcase has now hyped a lot of fans. The video shows the possibility of the black symbiote suit is capable and the new powers and tricks Miles Morales has learned this time. It is also exciting to know what are the effects of the black symbiote suit on Peter Parker since it is the one that would eventually become Venom with Eddie Brock and you know what happens to him after that in the films. One would want to see more gameplay footage even for a few seconds to gain more info about the game.
New Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Gameplay Footage Shown in Unlikely Media
Fortunately, fans will get to see new gameplay footage of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, but in a place, no one would have speculated: in a Spider-Man animated film.

According to Resetera, one of the members discovered in the film that in one scene where Ganke, Miles’ friend, is seen playing on a PS5. It shows the two white controllers that are similar in shape to DualSense controllers. On the display screen is footage of a “Spider-Man” video game with Peter in a Spider suit with mechanical arms fighting against some goons.

Insomniac Confirms Fan Theory
It was then confirmed by Insomniac Community Director James Stevenson that the footage shown in the film was indeed from the upcoming sequel. When the fans noted that the footage was not shown in the recent PlayStation Showcase trailer, Stevenson again confirmed that it is new gameplay footage.
What This Footage Tells Us
This confirms that at some point, Peter will still be using regular Spider-Man suits and not the black symbiote suit or he will have gotten rid of it at some point and now he uses other suits to have the same powers and tentacles that he had when he was in the black symbiote suit. We can only speculate here for now, but at least we know now for sure he has other suits to wear.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 launches later this year on PS5.
