Square Enix has recently released the Final Fantasy VII Rebirth State of Play trailer revealing the official release date.
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth State of Play Trailer Highlights
To conclude the recent State of Play event, PlayStation revealed one more trailer to showcase and it was one of the games fans have been waiting for: Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. The sequel to Final Fantasy VII Remake, this new trailer revealed tons of new footage that has not been seen before.
Release Date
The video reveals the official release date of the upcoming sequel: February 29, 2024 exclusively for PS5.
Detailing the trailer
The video starts with a wounded Zack and an unconscious Cloud arriving in a town and Rufus firing the large gun at Midgar. Various scenes then follow with Cloud and the gang exploring new areas and fighting monsters along the way. One of the early notable locations featured is the beach.
Various flashback scenes of Sephiroth and Cloud were also featured, making the super soldier doubt his humanity. The scenes jump around so it does not tell a lot of detail about it.
Two new characters were finally revealed in this trailer too, which were Caith Sith and Vincent. Two summons were also revealed, Alexander and Odin. The Golden Saucer was also showcased featuring Chocobo racing and the different types of chocobos that can be raised.
Deluxe and Collector’s Editions
Aside from the trailer, two special editions aside from the standard were revealed: Deluxe and Collector’s Editions.
