Update: A new statement by Sony was shared with Kotaku, explaining the reason for pulling out the trailer. It was revealed that the trailer was delisted over licensing issues. “As part of normal business, we delist assets with licensed music when the licenses expire,” the spokesperson wrote in the email. The posts that got deleted though, there was no comment on that.

New reports revealed that various Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic Remake trailers and tweets have been deleted on various social media and websites.
Fans of Star Wars games, especially the original Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic, are very concerned after it was discovered that previous trailers and other promotional material were pulled from the internet.
This was discovered by Twitter user Crusader3456 who revealed that the posts published by Sony on official social media channels were pulled and the 2021 PlayStation Showcase trailer for the KOTOR remake was set to private. All of these were also confirmed by Sirus Gaming after checking out the said videos and posts.
Last year, it was reported that KOTOR remake development was paused indefinitely after Aspyr failed to impress Lucasfilm and Sony with the demo they showed. This has led to development being put on hold plus Art Director Brad Prince and Design Director Jason Minor left the project. This new development on posts and trailers getting pulled out online might be one of the few steps that Sony’s doing before announcing a possible cancelation of the remake project.
Hopefully, this is not the case, but these signs are making it more convincing that the project is getting axed.
