In The Planet Crafter the Biodome T2 is a structure which allows players to produce not only oxygen, but also Tree Bark which is a crafting material to make seeds. Read ahead as we talk about how to unlock and use the Biodome T2 in The Planet Crafter.

To unlock the Biodome T2, you will need to raise the planet’s heat to 12 μK. Afterwards, it will be unlocked in the Build menu under the Biomass category.

To build the Biodome T2, you will need the following materials:

    • x2 Fertilizer
    • x2 Bacteria Sample
    • x1 Super Alloy
    • x1 Sulfur

The Biodome T2 has to be placed on clear ground, in the air, or be connected to an existing building’s passageway, provided that there are no obstructions on the space it will be occupying.

Should I replace my Biodome T1 with a T2 or keep both?

After unlocking the Biodome T2 in The Planet Crafter, you might be faced with a dilemma of what to do with the T1 Biodome. If you prioritize efficiency, then the best course is to deconstruct Biodome T1 and build T2 in its place, as T2 is far more efficient and can produce more resources. However, you can also choose to keep the lower-tier T1 structure for aesthetics purposes.

The Biodome T2 requires 75 kW/s to operate, and it will produce 1450 ppq/s of Oxygen and 11g/s of Plant matter when powered. Additionally, it passively produces Tree Bark every 270 seconds, however its reserve can only hold two Tree Barks and it has to be emptied out for it to be able to continue producing.
