Horde Assault – Survival Arcade Mode
Test your skills in a new survival mode where massive hordes of Freakers, hostile survivors, and evolved enemies push you to the limit. Fight through Cascade, Belknap, Lost Lake, and Crater Lake, with increasing difficulty as you survive longer. Earn new playable characters, cosmetics, and gameplay-enhancing Injectors as you progress.
Permadeath Mode – The Ultimate Challenge
Can you complete Deacon’s entire story in a single playthrough without dying? Choose between full Permadeath (restart the game upon death) or Act-Based Permadeath (restart from Act 2). Master the game to earn a special completion graphic, unique stats tracking, and a new PlayStation Trophy.
Speedrun Mode
Push your limits in this high-speed challenge mode, racing through the story as fast as possible. At the end of each run, a completion graphic displays your best time—perfect for sharing on social media!
Enhanced Photo Mode
Virtual photographers, rejoice! The Photo Mode now includes time-of-day settings, a three-point lighting system, and new logo options to capture the ultimate shot.
Coming to PC
PC players aren’t left out! On April 25, 2025, Days Gone on Steam and Epic Games Store will receive the Broken Road DLC ($10 USD), which includes:
