Tekken 8 is back again in the center stage of the fighting game community. A new trailer has popped up out of nowhere, revealing its latest plan for its next season, including the reveal of a returning Tekken fighter who is a fan favorite: Anna Williams.
Anna Williams, Nina Williams’s younger sister, is a beautiful former assassin who goes by the alias Lightning Scarlet.
Six months ago, Anna, a retired assassin and operations officer at G Corp, fell in love with a G Corp executive and was about to get married. On the day of her wedding, however, her sister Nina kills the man who is to become her husband, and she is suddenly expelled from G Corp. Anna is furious with Nina, and begins to investigate using her network of information from her days as an assassin to find out the truth behind this inexcusable incident. She discovers that her murdered fiancé was a lowlife who had done some very bad things in the underworld.
Anna felt a little gratitude that Nina’s actions had resulted in the elimination of the bad bugs. But shortly thereafter, word comes to her attention that Nina has replaced herself as G Corp’s operations chief of staff. Reigniting the flames of revenge, Anna orders a secret weapon from Dr. Nakamura, a highly skilled weaponsmith, to break through G Corp.’s security and bring Nina to her knees. To make the most of this weapon, Anna reexamined her fighting style and learned a new way of fighting.
Tekken 8 is available for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (via Steam). Anna will be released worldwide on April 3, 2025. Those who bought the Season 2 Pass can unlock her on March 31, 2025.
